The body is built to adapt, recover, and heal. Our role is to help clear the interference standing in the way, so your body can do what it was already designed to do.
Right now, without you thinking about it, your heart is beating, your lungs are breathing, your immune system is working, and your cells are repairing themselves. A cut on your hand becomes new skin. A broken bone knits itself back together. The body is built to adapt and heal continuously, every second of every day.
Chiropractic philosophy starts there. The body has a remarkable, built-in capacity to function and heal. When that capacity is fully expressed, you adapt to stress, recover from injury, and stay well. When something interferes with it, the body's ability to function and heal is reduced.
Our job is to help you express that capacity more fully. We support the system that already knows what to do.

There are two ways to think about health. One looks at the body as something that needs to be fixed from the outside, layering pills, procedures, and patches over a system that is struggling. The other trusts the body and asks: what is in the way of it doing its job?
Has its place when used appropriately. Works by adding something external to mask, manage, or override what the body is doing.
Looks for what is interfering with healthy function and works to remove it. The body then handles the healing on its own timeline.
Both have a role in modern healthcare. Chiropractic care is built around the second approach. We work with what the body is already trying to do.
Every breath, heartbeat, immune response, digestion, hormone, muscle contraction, and healing process is coordinated by the nervous system. The brain sends signals down the spinal cord and out through nerves to every organ, tissue, and cell.
The spine is the protective housing for that system. When the spine moves and aligns well, those signals travel cleanly. When areas of the spine are stressed, restricted, or misaligned, the nerves in that area can be impacted, and the body's ability to coordinate, adapt, and heal can be impacted with them.
A specific chiropractic adjustment helps restore proper movement and alignment to those areas. The body uses the cleaner signal to do what it was already designed to do: coordinate, adapt, heal. That is the inside-out model in practice.
"We do not heal anyone. The body heals. Our job is to help clear the interference standing in the way and let the body do what it was already designed to do."— Dr. Palmer Piana, Life Charge Chiropractic
A lot of people define health as "no pain right now." Chiropractic philosophy goes further than that. True health is the full expression of the body's function: how well you adapt to stress, how well you move, how well you sleep, how well you recover, and how well your nervous system is coordinating everything else.
Symptoms are signals. They show up when something is out of balance long enough that the body can no longer compensate quietly. Removing the symptom without addressing what caused it leaves the underlying issue in place, free to keep adapting until it shows up again, often somewhere else.
Our goal is the bigger picture. Help the body work better, structurally and neurologically, so symptoms have less reason to show up in the first place.
Philosophy lives in the room. Here is how the inside-out approach shows up at Life Charge Chiropractic.
